This is a simple prototype of pitch detection built in Max/MSP. The fiddle~ object is a third party object by Miller S. Puckette which performs simple pitch tracking with the option of outputting the sinusoidal peaks used to make the decision of pitch. This patch uses the input from the adc~ to continuously control the frequency of a sine wave oscillator, so the computer is effectively "singing along" with the performer.
