MAT 200A Final Project
BODY CODE :-- Palmprint Recognition and
Creative Art System
...........................................................................................................................................................................................
To design an art works that could be installed in the museum, I try to find a data source that could be a special entity to create an art expression. This source must have some characters of vary, unique, interesting, portable and countable. Finally, I found the human's fingerprint or palmprint could be a best source that I could utilize in art creative. I try to establish a human interactive interface which could attract spectators in the museum remain their palmprint on our scanner. We can use their palmprint to resonse some useful information to users.
We can use human's unique palmprint to create fantastic picture through the pattern recognation system. To encourage spectators use this system, we add some interesting expression like Fortuneteller, music creation and Health recommendation to satisfy the spectators' desire for sense of touch, vision, hearing and curious.
By means of different kinds of surprising response and colorful media expression on the screen, spectators can find the secret in their body.

A. Function :
1.Personal image creation: When user scan their palmprint ,pattern recognition system matches the image file with the database then utilize the color maping table to create colorful picture.
2.Fortuneteller: According to the palmistry, system according to the database and response the fortune information to user.
3.Health recommendation:According to the palmistry, system check the database and response health recommendation to the monitor.
4.Personal music composition:System collects the numbers from the palmprint data file through a mathematic calculation to create a series of number. Sound generator will play the sound according to the decoded number.
5.Message delivery Service:User can input the email address into the system; system will send the image and music file to designated email address.
6.Group creative works:If whole family or several people willing to collage a art work for their group. They can input their palmprint at the same time. System will process the combined data and collage to a cooperative art piece.

C. Palmprint Introduction :
(A) PALMISTRY & FATE LINKS:
Palmistry is not just a way telling what will happen but also a way of finding out why things happen.
For example:
Palmprint | Description |
Fate line |
Strong fate lines belong to people who settle into a pattern of life early. Weak fate lines tend to belong to people who are unsettled and tend to change jobs a lot. Fate lines starting at the very bottom of the palm indicate people who settle into their life path early. When the fate line ends at the head line it indicates a person who seems to lose their way somewhere between 30 to 40 years old |
Life line |
The lifeline does not indicate how old you will live. What the line reveals is the quality of your life. It is an index of how much vitality, strength and energy you have. A lifeline running close to the thumb indicates a person of low vitality, sometimes found in the hands of people who suffer chronic fatigue syndrome. A lifeline that runs a wide curve shows a person with lots of vitality, get up and go. If the head line is stronger than the life line it shows a person who is more mentally than physically active.. |
(B) PALMISTRY & HEALTH LINKS
For centuries medicine has recognized the link between palmistry and health. Modern medical researchers have confirmed this link.
We use this information to create some interesting application. For example:
Palmprint | Description |
Earth hand | Susceptible intestine problems |
Fire hand | Accidents and heart problems |
Air hand | Nervous tension and lung problems |
Star on the line | Star on heart line may indicate heart problems |
Keratoses | May indicate organ disease |
Warparound | Respiratory problems |
Medical suggestion just for entertainment purpose, system will display warning message .
