For my project, I am attempting to build a framework for gesture recognition on smart phones. This will be built using Hidden Markov Models for recognising physical gestures using the accelerometer. Whilst this has been achieved on the wii it misses out on the crucial aspect of ʻinteractionʼ i.e. you cannot be sure when a gesture has been recognised. Smart phones however allow for feedback in the form of vibration or audible feedback (known as ʻearconsʼ). | pdf | |
